Hickory Grove Christian Lions (Charlotte, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Concord Academy Eagles (Concord, NC), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions face the Statesville Christian Lions (Statesville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 7. Hickory Grove Christian will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record.

The Eagles now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Metrolina Christian Academy for a NCISAA Metrolina challenge on Thursday, March 7. Concord Academy will face a Warriors team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-0.
