Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Pirates confront the Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA) in a 3A Region 2 challenge, on Friday, March 8. Pike County will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 5-2 league loss to Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA).

The Trojans now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Griffin for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 7. Lamar County will confront a Bears team coming off a 4-3 league win over West Laurens (Dexter, GA). The Bears record now stands at 4-3.
