Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) and the visiting East Carteret Mariners (Beaufort, NC), witnessed Croatan's softball squad tip East Carteret by a count of 10-3.

The Cougars now sport a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Pamlico County for a non-league match on Thursday, March 7. Croatan will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over West Craven (Vanceboro, NC). The Hurricanes record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, East Carteret moves to 1-1 on the season. The Mariners travel to Washington (Washington, NC) to face the Pam Pack in a non-league match on Friday, March 8. The Pam Pack come into the test with a record of 3-0. Washington won 6-0 in their recent non-league test against Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC)
