Rains Wildcats (Emory, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Edgewood Bulldogs (Edgewood, TX), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grand Saline for a 3A Region II District 12 challenge on Friday, March 8. Rains will face a Indians squad coming off a 18-1 league win over Commerce (Commerce, TX). The Indians record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, Edgewood falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX) to face the Buffaloes in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge on Friday, March 15. The Buffaloes enter the challenge with a record of 9-8. Lone Oak won 10-7 in their recent league challenge against Chisum (Paris, TX)
