Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting T.C. Roberson Rams (Asheville, NC), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Smoky Mountain for a Mountain Seven 3A challenge on Thursday, March 7. Franklin will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 14-2 non-league loss to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, T.C. Roberson falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Tuscola (Waynesville, NC) to face the Mountaineers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 13. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
