The Texas City Stingarees softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting La Porte Bulldogs to 3 in the Stingarees league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Texas City moves its record to 12-4 on the year. The Stingarees travel to Ball (Galveston, TX) to clash with the Tornadoes in a 5A Region III District 18 game on Friday, March 8. The Tornadoes come into the game with a record of 7-11. Ball lost 15-0 in their recent league game against Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Manvel Mavericks (Manvel, TX) in a 5A Region III District 18 game, on Friday, March 8. La Porte will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Mavericks come into the game with a 13-6 record after their 12-3 non-league win over Fulshear (Fulshear, TX).
