McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Little Elm Lobos (Little Elm, TX), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 9-9 record. They take the field next when they host Boyd for a 6A Region I District 5 challenge on Friday, March 8. McKinney will face a Broncos squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to Allen (Allen, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Little Elm falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Lobos host Prosper (Prosper, TX) to face the Eagles in a 6A Region I District 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-12. Prosper lost 11-2 in their recent league challenge against Rock Hill (Frisco, TX)
