The Nederland Bulldogs nipped the host Sterling Rangers softball squad by a final score of 5-4 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Bulldogs (5-9) will now prepare for their battle against Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX). The Indians go into the 5A Region III District 17 battle with a 8-9 record. In their last battle, Port Neches-Groves held off Goose Creek Memorial (Baytown, TX), 20-16, in a league battle.

The Rangers now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Crosby for a 5A Region III District 17 battle on Friday, March 8. Sterling will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 14-6.
