The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) and the visiting Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX), saw Nixon's softball squad achieve victory over Roma by a count of 20-3.

The Mustangs now sport a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rio Grande City for a 5A Region IV District 30 match on Friday, March 8. Nixon will face a Rattlers squad coming off a 9-0 league win over Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX). The Rattlers record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Roma falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Gladiators host Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX) to face the Huskies in a 5A Region IV District 30 match on Friday, March 8. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 4-8. Juarez-Lincoln lost 9-0 in their recent league match against Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX)
