The Ellington Knights (Ellington, CT) basketball edged the visiting Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers (Bridgeport, CT), 50-49 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Knights now possess a 23-0 record. They play next when they host Canton for a North Central Connecticut bout on Friday, March 7. Ellington will play a Warriors team coming off a 102-2 non-league win over Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 12-4.
With the loss, Bridgeport Central falls to 6-7 on the campaign.
