The Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA) baseball trounced the host Dougherty Trojans (Albany, GA), 19-1 in Thursday's league challenge.
The Syrupmakers now own a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host Westover for a AAA Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, March 10. Cairo will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 14-3 league loss to Peach County (Fort Valley, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 0-6.
With the defeat, Dougherty drops to 0-4 on the year. The Trojans travel to Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA) to face the Bearcats in a AAA Region 1 battle on Tuesday, March 10. The Bearcats enter the battle with a record of 3-7. Bainbridge won 11-0 in their recent league battle against Monroe (Albany, GA)
