California High School Softball - Downey bested by Turlock

March 5, 2026: Modesto, CA 95355

The Turlock Bulldogs routed the host Downey Knights softball team by a margin of 8-0 in Thursday's league battle.

The Bulldogs now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Orestimba for a non-league battle on Friday, March 6. Turlock will confront a Warriors team coming off a 17-0 non-league win over Big Valley Christian (Modesto, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Downey moves to 4-2 on the season. The Knights travel to Pitman (Turlock, CA) to confront the Pride in a Central California Athletic battle on Tuesday, March 10. The Pride come into the battle with a record of 3-4. Pitman won 5-1 in their recent league battle against Modesto (Modesto, CA)
