Alabama High School Softball - Section sneaks past Sylvania

March 5, 2026: Section, AL 35771

The Section Lions softball team scored 23 runs and held the visiting Sylvania Rams to 22 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.

Next, the Lions play the Madison County Tigers (Gurley, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 6. Section will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 15-5 non-league win over Mars Hill Bible (Florence, AL).

The Rams (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Payne (Fort Payne, AL). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Fort Payne edged Skyline (Scottsboro, AL), 8-6, in a non-league challenge.
