Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the North Port Bobcats (North Port, FL) and the host Island Coast Gators (Cape Coral, FL), witnessed North Port's softball squad prevail over Island Coast by a count of 22-0.
The Bobcats now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Sarasota for a 7A District 8 match on Wednesday, March 8. North Port will face a Sailors squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Palmetto (Palmetto, FL). The Sailors record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Island Coast moves to 2-4 on the season. The Gators travel to Lely (Naples, FL) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Friday, March 10. The Trojans go into the match with a record of 3-2.
