Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Reedy Lions (Frisco, TX), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newman Smith for a 5A Region II District 9 challenge on Friday, March 10. Wakeland will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 9-8 league loss to Frisco (Frisco, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, Reedy falls to 11-3 on the campaign. The Lions host The Colony (The Colony, TX) to battle the Cougars in a 5A Region II District 9 challenge on Friday, March 10. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 3-9. The Colony lost 10-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Rockwall (Rockwall, TX)
