Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA), 1-0 in a league test.

With the win, Habersham Central upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Raiders host Shiloh (Snellville, GA) to battle the Generals in a 6A Area 8 test on Friday, March 8. The Generals come into the test with a record of 4-5. Shiloh lost 4-1 in their recent league test against Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA)

With the defeat, Gainesville falls to 3-6 on the season. The Red elephants travel to Jackson County (Jefferson, GA) to battle the Panthers in a 6A Area 8 test on Friday, March 8. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 3-8. Jackson County lost 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Charlotte (Punta Gorda, FL)
