Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) and the visiting Slaughter Community Charter Knights (Slaughter, LA), witnessed Assumption's softball squad prevail over Slaughter Community Charter by a count of 15-2.

The Mustangs now sport a 7-4 record. They play next when they host A.J. Ellender for a 4A District 7 match on Thursday, March 7. Assumption will face a Patriots squad coming off a 14-2 non-league loss to Thibodaux (Thibodaux, LA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Slaughter Community Charter moves to 5-2 on the season. The Knights host Franklinton (Franklinton, LA) to face the Demons in a non-league match on Saturday, March 9. The Demons go into the match with a record of 5-1. Franklinton won 14-0 in their recent league test against Salmen (Slidell, LA)
