The Southside Seahawks (Chocowinity, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, NC), 7-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Seahawks now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Ocracoke for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 10. Southside will clash with a Dolphins team coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Pungo Christian Academy (Belhaven, NC). The Dolphins record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Columbia drops to 1-1 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC) to clash with the Bears in a Atlantic 1A challenge on Tuesday, March 18. The Bears go into the challenge with a record of 2-1.
