The South Lamar Stallions baseball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Marion County Red Raiders to 4 in the Stallions non-league win on Thursday.

The Stallions now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Northside for a non-league test on Saturday, March 8. South Lamar will play a Rams team coming off a 10-3 non-league win over Fayette County (Fayette, AL). The Rams record now stands at 6-1.

With the defeat, Marion County drops to 0-7 on the year. The Red raiders host Brilliant (Brilliant, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, March 7. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 1-2. Brilliant lost 6-5 in their recent non-league test against Pickens County (Reform, AL)
