The Valdez Buccaneers basketball team scored 75 points and limited the visiting Galena Hawks to 44 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Buccaneers now have a 11-12 record. They play next when they host Monroe Catholic for a non-league game on Friday, March 7. Valdez will confront a Rams team coming off a 67-10 non-league win over Delta (Delta Junction, AK). The Rams record now stands at 21-4.

With the loss, Galena falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Hutchison (Fairbanks, AK) to confront the Hawks in a non-league game on Friday, March 7. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 2-18. Hutchison lost 48-27 in their recent non-league game against Delta (Delta Junction, AK)
