The McMinn County Cherokees soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Silverdale Academy Seahawks to 1 in the Cherokees non-league victory on Thursday.

The Cherokees now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts for a non-league bout on Friday, March 7. McMinn County will play a Eagles squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Walker Valley (Cleveland, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Silverdale Academy moves to 0-2 on the year. The Seahawks travel to Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 8. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Red Bank 1-1 in their recent non-league bout against Loudon (Loudon, TN)
