North Carolina High School Softball - McMichael bounces Rockingham County

March 6, 2025: Wentworth, NC 27375

The McMichael Phoenix softball team scored 15 runs and held the host Rockingham County Cougars to 4 in the Phoenix non-league win on Thursday.

The Phoenix now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bethany Community for a non-league battle on Friday, March 7. McMichael will confront a Wolves team coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Morehead (Eden, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Rockingham County moves to 1-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC) to confront the Wildcats in a Mid-State 3A battle on Tuesday, March 11. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 2-1. Eastern Guilford won 8-0 in their recent league battle against High Point Central (High Point, NC)
