Mississippi High School Baseball - Wesson wallops Amite County

March 6, 2026: Liberty, MS 39645

In Friday's league game, the visiting Wesson Cobras baseball team scored a nice 16-1 win over the Amite County Trojans.

The Cobras (11-1) will now prepare for their match against Pelahatchie (Pelahatchie, MS). The Chiefs come into the non-league match with a 4-8 record. In their last match, Pelahatchie was overwhelmed by North Pike (Summit, MS), 12-0, in a non-league match.

The Trojans now have a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Port Gibson for a non-league match on Tuesday, March 10. Amite County will play a Blue Waves team coming off a 17-0 league win over Jefferson County (Fayette, MS). The Blue Waves record now stands at 7-1.
