Texas High School Baseball - Coronado sneaks past Franklin

March 6, 2026: El Paso, TX 79912

The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Coronado Thunderbirds (El Paso, TX) and the visiting Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX), saw Coronado's baseball team get by Franklin by a tally of 5-4.

The Thunderbirds (13-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX). The Spartans come into the 6A Region I District 1 contest with a 6-2 record.

The Cougars now possess a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Montwood for a 6A Region I District 1 contest on Saturday, March 7. Franklin will confront a Rams squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Eastlake (El Paso, TX). The Rams record now stands at 4-8.
