With the triumph, East Central moves its record to 9-1 on the year. The Hornets travel to Judson (Converse, TX) to play the Rockets in a 6A Region IV District 27 contest on Tuesday, March 15. The Rockets come into the contest with a record of 10-4. Judson won 11-2 in their recent league contest against South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)

In their next game, the Thunderbirds play the Pearsall Mavericks (Pearsall, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, March 11. Wagner will attempt to move on its 0-6 season record. The Mavericks come into the contest with a 12-3 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Hondo (Hondo, TX).
