Havelock Rams (Havelock, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Craven Eagles (Vanceboro, NC), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Jones for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 9. Havelock will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 11-9 non-league loss to James Kenan (Warsaw, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, West Craven falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC) to battle the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Pamlico County won 5-2 in their recent non-league challenge against New Bern (New Bern, NC)
