Newman International Academy Warriors (Cedar Hill, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Poetry Community Christian Pioneer (Poetry, TX), 19-2 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nazarene Christian Academy for a Division II challenge on Thursday, March 10. Newman International Academy will battle a Lions squad coming off a 13-3 league win over Burton Adventist Academy (Arlington, TX). The Lions record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Poetry Community Christian falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Pioneer host Christian Life Preparatory (Fort Worth, TX) to battle the Knights in a Division II challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Christian Life Preparatory won 14-4 in their recent league challenge against Victory Christian Academy (Decatur, TX)
