Wylie Pirates (Wylie, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Sachse Mustangs (Sachse, TX), 4-2 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they host North Garland for a 6A Region II District 9 challenge on Tuesday, March 22.

With the loss, Sachse falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Naaman Forest (Garland, TX) to face the Rangers in a 6A Region II District 9 challenge on Thursday, March 17. The Rangers enter the challenge with a record of 6-4. Naaman Forest won 22-8 in their recent league challenge against North Garland (Garland, TX)
