Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) and the visiting Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), saw Shelby's baseball squad edge Highland Tech by a margin of 9-8.

Coming up next, the Golden Lions play the Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 9. Shelby will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 2-1 record after their 20-11 league win over West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).

The Rams now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ashbrook for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 8. Highland Tech will play a Greenwave squad coming off a 12-5 non-league loss to Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Greenwave record now stands at 0-3.
