In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting West Craven Eagles baseball team scored a tight 7-3 victory over the New Bern Bears.
The Eagles (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Pirates go into the non-league game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Swansboro was overwhelmed by Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC), 20-8, in a non-league game.
The Bears (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Cardinals go into the Big East 3A/4A game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Jacksonville tipped White Oak (Jacksonville, NC), 12-1, in a non-league game.
