Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Apalachee Wildcats (Winder, GA), 8-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Red Elephants confront the North Forsyth Raiders (Cumming, GA) in a 6A Area 8 challenge, on Friday, March 10. Gainesville will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 2-0 league win over Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA).

The Wildcats now possess a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lanier for a 6A Area 8 challenge on Tuesday, March 14. Apalachee will confront a Longhorns team coming off a 4-1 league win over Jackson County (Jefferson, GA). The Longhorns record now stands at 10-0.
