In Tuesday's league battle, the host Pike County Pirates soccer squad scored a close 6-1 triumph over the Jackson Red Devils.
The Pirates (5-3) will now prepare for their bout against Peach County (Fort Valley, GA). The Trojans go into the 3A Area 2 bout with a 6-4 record. In their last bout, Peach County held off Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA), 2-0, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Hampton Hornets (Hampton, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 10. Jackson will attempt to move on its 6-4 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 12-2 league loss to Lovett (Atlanta, GA).
