College Station Cougars (College Station, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Magnolia Bulldogs (Magnolia, TX), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montgomery for a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, March 10. College Station will face a Bears squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX). The Bears record now stands at 4-9.

With the loss, Magnolia falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Rudder (Bryan, TX) to face the Rangers in a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Tuesday, March 14. The Rangers enter the challenge with a record of 7-8.
