The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX) and the visiting Industrial Cobras (Vanderbilt, TX), saw Columbus's softball squad nip Industrial by a count of 4-0.

The Cardinals now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hallettsville for a 3A Region IV District 25 match on Friday, March 10. Columbus will face a Brahmas squad coming off a 19-0 league win over Palacios (Palacios, TX). The Brahmas record now stands at 17-2.

With the loss, Industrial falls to 12-4 on the campaign. The Cobras host Flatonia (Flatonia, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Thursday, March 9. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 3-2.
