Texas High School Softball - Floresville bounces Somerset

The Floresville Tigers routed the visiting Somerset Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 16-0 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Tigers (12-6) will now prepare for their battle against Pearsall (Pearsall, TX). The Mavericks go into the 4A Region IV District 29 battle with a 7-4 record. In their last battle, Pearsall topped Hondo (Hondo, TX), 9-5, in a non-league battle.

The Bulldogs now sport a 3-14 record. They play next when they host Uvalde for a 4A Region IV District 29 battle on Friday, March 10. Somerset will meet a Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) squad coming off a 12-5 non-league win over Leakey (Leakey, TX). The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) record now stands at 11-6.
