Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host North Davidson for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 8. Southwestern Randolph will battle a Black Knights squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Davie (Mocksville, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Trinity falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 8. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Ragsdale lost 16-1 in their recent league challenge against Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC)
