The North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] Bearcats (Cando, ND) basketball crushed the visiting North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] Eagles (Walhalla, ND), 64-40 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Bearcats (21-1) will now prepare for their test against LaMoure/Litchville-Marion (LaMoure, ND). The Loboes go into the non-league test with a 17-10 record. In their last test, LaMoure/Litchville-Marion walloped New Rockford-Sheyenne (New Rockford, ND), 50-38, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 15-8 record. They play next when they travel to Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier for a non-league test on Saturday, March 9. North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] will encounter a Rangers squad coming off a 45-40 non-league win over Ellendale (Ellendale, ND). The Rangers record now stands at 22-4.
