The East Wilkes Cardinals softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting East Surry Cardinals to 6 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, East Wilkes moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Cardinals host Forbush (East Bend, NC) to play the Falcons in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 13. The Falcons come into the game with a record of 2-1. Forbush won 11-8 in their recent non-league game against Starmount (Boonville, NC)

In their next game, the Cardinals play the Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 18. East Surry will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
