In Thursday's non-league contest, the Straughn Tigers (Andalusia, AL) softball team held off the visiting Opp Bobcats (Opp, AL), by a margin of 2-1.
With the triumph, Straughn moves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Tigers travel to New Brockton (New Brockton, AL) to play the Gamecocks in a contest on Thursday, March 14. The Gamecocks come into the contest with a record of 1-1.
In their next game, the Bobcats play the Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 12. Opp will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record.
