Dumas Demons (Dumas, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Canyon Eagles (Canyon, TX), 7-2 in a league challenge.

The Demons now own a 11-0 record. They take the field next when they host Randall for a 4A Region I District 4 challenge on Thursday, March 14. Dumas will face a Raiders squad coming off a 7-5 league loss to Pampa (Pampa, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 9-13.

With the loss, Canyon falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host Perryton (Perryton, TX) to face the Rangers in a 4A Region I District 4 battle on Friday, March 8. The Rangers go into the battle with a record of 2-8.
