Stanhope Elmore Mustangs (Millbrook, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Carver Montgomery Wolverines (Montgomery, AL), 22-0 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wetumpka for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 12.

With the loss, Carver Montgomery falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Calera (Calera, AL) to battle the Eagles in a 6A Area 5 challenge on Thursday, March 14. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 11-14.
