Monticello Billies (Monticello, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Star City Bulldogs (Star City, AR), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Billies now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hampton for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9.

With the loss, Star City falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host McGehee (McGehee, AR) to face the Owls in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 11. The Owls enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
