The St. James Sharks softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting North Myrtle Beach Chiefs to 1 in the Sharks non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, St. James improves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Sharks travel to Sumter (Sumter, SC) to clash with the Gamecocks in a AAAAA Region 5 game on Monday, March 11. The Gamecocks come into the game with a record of 3-0. Sumter won 19-0 in their recent non-league game against Crestwood (Sumter, SC)

In their next game, the Chiefs clash with the Wilson Tigers (Florence, SC) in a AAAA Region 6 game, on Friday, March 8. North Myrtle Beach will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 0-2 record after their 18-8 non-league loss to Lake City (Lake City, SC).
