The Rio Grande City Rattlers baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Cigarroa Toros to 0 in the Rattlers league win on Friday.

The Rattlers now hold a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Mission Veterans Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, March 11. Rio Grande City will play a Patriots team coming off a 5-1 league win over Martin (Laredo, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 8-2.

With the defeat, Cigarroa drops to 1-9 on the year. The Toros host Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX) to play the Huskies in a 5A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, March 11. The Huskies go into the test with a record of 0-7. Juarez-Lincoln lost 15-0 in their recent league test against Palmview (La Joya, TX)
