The Dublin Fighting Irish baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Washington County Golden Hawks to 2 in the Fighting Irish league win on Friday.
The Fighting Irish now hold a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Jefferson County for a A D1 Region 2 test on Tuesday, March 11. Dublin will play a Warriors team coming off a 16-15 league win over Northeast (Macon, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-6.
With the defeat, Washington County drops to 8-4 on the year. The Golden hawks host Bleckley County (Cochran, GA) to play the Royals in a A D1 Region 2 test on Tuesday, March 11. The Royals go into the test with a record of 6-4. Bleckley County won 15-1 in their recent league test against Southwest (Macon, GA)
