In Friday's non-league bout, the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA), by a tally of 7-0.
Next up, the Bears encounter the Tattnall County Warriors (Reidsville, GA) in a AA Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, March 11. Pierce County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Warriors enter the bout with a 4-8 record after their 9-2 non-league loss to Vidalia (Vidalia, GA).
The Bulldogs (6-6) will now prepare for their bout against Academy of Richmond County (Augusta, GA). The Musketeers enter the non-league bout with a 3-8 record. In their last bout, Academy of Richmond County edged Howard (Macon, GA), 12-0, in a league bout.
