The Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN) basketball toppled the visiting Hobart Brickies (Hobart, IN), 58-46 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Pirates now possess a 7-18 record. They play next when they travel to Portage for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 8. Merrillville will play a Indians team coming off a 69-55 non-league win over Chesterton (Chesterton, IN). The Indians record now stands at 19-5.

With the loss, Hobart falls to 9-15 on the campaign.
