Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Hoover Patriots (Fresno, CA) and the host Morro Bay Pirates (Morro Bay, CA), observed Hoover's volleyball team hold off Morro Bay by a count of 2-1.

The Patriots (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Santa Maria (Santa Maria, CA). The Saints enter the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Santa Maria got by Valley Christian Academy (Santa Maria, CA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Pirates battle the Edison Tigers (Fresno, CA) in a non-league outing, on Friday, March 7. Morro Bay will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record. The Tigers come into the outing with a 4-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Hoover (Fresno, CA).
