The Harlingen South Hawks (Harlingen, TX) soccer nipped the visiting Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX), 1-0 in Friday's league challenge.
The Hawks now hold a 13-3 record. They play next when they travel to Donna North for a 5A Region 4 District 32 challenge on Tuesday, March 11. Harlingen South will encounter a Chiefs squad coming off a 6-1 league win over Weslaco East (Weslaco, TX). The Chiefs record now stands at 16-6.
With the loss, Porter moves to 11-15 on the year. The Cowboys host Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a 5A Region 4 District 32 test on Tuesday, March 11. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 11-2.
