Texas High School Soccer - Wakeland nudges Lone Star

Fans at Friday's league battle between the Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) and the host Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX), saw Wakeland's soccer squad hold off Lone Star by a count of 2-1.

The Wolverines (18-0) will now prepare for their battle against Turner (Carrollton, TX). The Lions enter the 5A Region 2 District 12 battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Turner was edged by Reedy (Frisco, TX), 5-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Rangers encounter the The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) in a 5A Region 2 District 12 challenge, on Tuesday, March 11. Lone Star will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record. The Cougars go into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 1-0 league loss to Creekview (Carrollton, TX).
